Chuck & Paula Beehner > 10-15-2009… The Strangest Things…

You can find the strangest things after a bad rain storm…
Chuck & Paula Beehner > 9-18-2009...

"just a drop" this is from our back yard..yet again...gotta get out more often!
Chuck & Paula Beehner > 7-6-2009… International Sunset

I have driven past this truck for years…it is off Hwy 5 in northern California. On private land, but accessible. Somewhere along the way someone got really artistic on it… I stopped a couple months back and took some shots; day was overcast and light was diffused.

Stopped for a couple more pictures on the way back from Mom’s yesterday. Evening light, amber glows…

While the truck was really my subject, I like the wide shot that took in the surrounding scenery…

This truck had been there for at least ten years...no more shots...as I drove be today 12-25-2009, the truck was gone...good thing I got the shots I did, when I did...
Chuck & Paula Beehner > 8-31-2009... Good By August.

An Alder leaf on the patio...the shadows of the tree is being cast upon it... Let’s just say, good by August...
Chuck & Paula Beehner > 8-1-2009… SpongeBob Trashed.

Well, one more from my wife here. While I was out hauling an old
Scout down the mountain (busy day), she went on a walk in the park.

SpongeBob SquarePants was there!! Too much coincidence here, did you notice that two days ago I posted a picture of Patrick Star, SpongeBob’s buddy. Today she stumbles on SpongeBob himself!! Okay, it is just a piñata in the trash but still… Had to post the picture, lol…

Also, Paula really appreciated all of your comments on her sandal shot. I must make sure she gets the credit for her work here!!
Chuck & Paula Beehner > 12-14-2009… Path Puddle Reflections

Rain this weekend, enough of a break to get the dog and us out of the house for a short period of time…
Chuck & Paula Beehner > 09-29-2009...these were 2 shots that i thought worked together nicely, if i say so myself ..
Chuck & Paula Beehner > 7-22-2009… Inside The Honey Run Covered Bridge.

Another one taken this past Saturday… This is the view inside an old covered bridge that was part of the old road system here. It crosses Butte Creek off Honey Run Road.

A little history - “The Honey Run Covered Bridge, built in 1894, is one of only a few covered bridges in the state. Located in Butte Creek Canyon just outside Paradise it is the only (known) tri-span bridge in the United States.” “The spans were built in sections of 30 ft., 130 ft, and 80 ft for a total of 240 ft. At the time it was first opened for traffic it was not covered.”
